No, you do not have to transfer your domains to BirchHosting in order to use your Web Hosting space, provided you point to our nameservers. To do this, click on 'Order now' and select option 2 Point existing domain to BirchHosting. Enter the domain name that you'll point to our nameservers and continue through checkout as normal. You then need to login or contact your current registrar and change the nameservers to:-

However if your using Joomla Mutisites or Wordpress MU you can map multiple sites to one hosting package, thus enabling you to run several separate domain names. Our reseller plan allows you to run as many Advanced or Professional plans as you wish, all with their own hosting panels.

If you pick the cPanel hosting you can add on as many domains as you like, all part of your package allowance. This means that you can host 100's of sites on one account. Remember that all domains count towards your usage on cPanel Hosting accounts

We will contact you 30 days before the domain is due to expire, and daily in the last week before expiry.

Please ensure that you keep your details uptodate so we can send you the reminders.

All you need to do to renew is go to the renew services section of the control panel, and this will show you every product you have with expiry date, and give you the ability to renew or cancel if applicable.

Transferring your. uk domain (.co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk) is an easy, three-step process:-

Change the IPS TAG of your domain to  BIRCHHOSTING.

If you require any assistance with doing this, you'll have to contact your existing domain registrar - most larger ISPs will allow you to do this via their control panels, and some may charge.

Go to the 'Order Domain' in Your BirchHosting  Customer Area.

Enter the domain name you wish to transfer in option 1, the domain robot will return your domain in the domains available to transfer list,  add to basket then proceed to checkout with any hosting required if needed.

Log into your account to verify that your domain has transferred.

We do not currently charge for .uk transfers.

Transferring your domains to BirchHosting is simple if you follow the guidelines in this FAQ.

Before you start the transfer you must ensure that the current administration contact email address is valid and that the person receiving email at that address knows that they must respond to emails about the transfer.

The domain name must also be unlocked with the current registrar.

1. Log into your BirchHosting Control Panel and select Order Domain

2. Enter the domain name that you want to transfer in option 2 and continue to checkout, andding any hosting if required.

3. The administration contact will receive an email from OpenSRS with instructions on how to confirm the transfer.

4. Once confirmed it will take only 24 HOURS to become active if you are transferring from 123-reg or UKREG. With other providers it may take up to seven days.

5. You may also receive another email from the current registrar, if you do you should read this very carefully as it may contain instructions for you to authorise the transfer away from them.

Domains are registered as soon as you order them, however it can take between 24 and 72 hours for them to become visible on the Internet.

Yes, every time you buy a product from us we will email you an invoice, invoices are also available to view and print at any time in your control panel.
